Somewhere in the universe, a spaceship pilot crashes on a planet covered by an ocean from which emerges one single island. Thinking of being alone in the middle of nowhere, he is surprised by the presence of a small, enigmatic being that has been living there for an indefinable time. Moreover, he notices that the water is rising steadily, reducing the size of the island day by day.

With only a limited amount of time before everything gets covered by water, the pilot will need to understand and bond with the Small-one and its poetry, which seems capable of changing reality.
